Day 5 The south end of Scotland

A 51 mile ride down to the Mull of Galloway today, Scotland's most southerly point.. We started with a 2 mile up hill out of. Portpatrick - not even given a mention as one of our main climbs of the day but probably the hardest. We went via Port Logan which had such pretty Sandy beaches. We tried to have a cuppa at the botanical gardens but they weren’t as welcoming as the one we visited in the Borders. However it was nice to see lots of palm trees - my granny used to tell me you got palm trees in the west. Then back on the very quiet A road. It's been a beautiful sunny day so we finished with a swim in the Irish sea. I had to persuade Mr PB but he loved it!
