Glory Of the Snow

The Chionodoxa is late this season. I thought I’d lost it, but found this tiny flower among the snowdrop leaves. (Its own leaf is the upright one with the red tip). There’s another flower coming on too.

The beautiful weather is coming to an end. After several days of temperatures in the high teens C, it has been steadily falling this afternoon. It’s been lovely not having to wear so many layers, not having to light the fire,  not having to contend with mud everywhere, and being able to have windows and doors open even to evening. I’m sure it’s been great for families, especially during this Covid lockdown. Back to winter tomorrow.
