Near the Burleigh Bridge…

Day Nine of Level Four Lockdown. I don’t know where I got yesterday’s Covid-19 case numbers from but, I’m sorry to say, they were not accurate. At the 1.pm TV official briefing, compulsive viewing for many, we were told there were 68 new cases to report, all but two in the Auckland area. There have been no active community cases in the South Island. So the total national total of active cases is now 277. Our thoughts are with those who are ill with the virus. We hope as many folk as possible take advantage of the vaccination program.
Here in Marlborough sunrise was at 6.58am this morning. It was daylight well before then. This scene is looking downstream from the Burleigh Bridge halfway through Maisie’s and my early walk. It was then 6.35.am, almost warm and with no wind. Very few folk around, just two cyclists and three dogs.
