Such a belter of a day! Paddleboarding in 25 degree heat in Scotland with no wind on the Loch was fabulous. I managed to stand up twice for a short period. Also note that the board does t look so big on the water! Mostly I was in my knees or sitting, getting used to the motion and stability of the board. Went quite far out - so peaceful and beautiful. Met a lady with her wee dog on her board and it was loving jumping in and the. Clambering back on board. I thought about B and she would have loved this too, maybe not starting at her old age but def when younger. She loved our adventures.

The loch is well placed for food too at the Dam Visitor Centre Cafe. Was ravenous and sat out and ate roasted sweet potato wedges and a tuna and red onion warmed ciabatta. This was at 145 so it was devoured in minutes!

Home for aa sit out in the garden and some weeding. Felt exhausted later with all that fresh air and exercise .

Horrendous accident on the A9 yesterday where four horses were killed . Their horse box had broken down between Perth and Aberuthven and a lorry ploughed into them with two horses dying immediately and two having to be euthanised later. The two people luckily were out at the side of the truck which was heading to Blair Atholl Horse Eventing Trials and he saw the lorry driver looking at his phone just before it ploughed into them. I had experience of seeing this with a lorry driver last week he was wavering over the road as we went to overtake and as we drew alongside I saw him looking down to the steering wheel.

Am so sad for these poor horses needlessly killed by morons on phones.
