First smiles

Peter's working long hours during harvest doing day and night shifts...cabernet grapes this week. This afternoon he was home in daylight hours and enjoying time with Ronnie and Max. He was playing with Ronnie when I arrived and encouraging him to smile....not quite 7 weeks old...and he was rewarded and I managed to capture this gorgeous smile.

Spent a good part of the day in the garden wetta-soaking the soil (spraying a detergent based liquid on the soil). It is amazing how water repellent the soil becomes and the plants suffer with lack of water even if you water them regularly. I've removed a couple of dead bushes, pruned the dead leaves from some, dead headed the roses and generally tidied things up and it looks better for my efforts.
