Chester

The city has a city wall which these days has a walkway on top. This clock surmounts part of the walkway and rather than being a solid wall at this point it is really a bridge over a main road in the city centre. For viewers abroad VR refers to Queen Victoria (Victoria Regina).

This spot is a favourite for camera-wielding tourists so one has to wait to avoid one's own picture consisting of bottoms!
