ON OUR WALK IN THE SOLLING

we hoped to see or the fox or the deer. We took the long path making a loop so to speak and although we enjoyed the wonderful walk in the forest, still covered in snow, only tracks of animals we saw.
The track of one person with dog, a lot of deer and of boars who had made holes with their snouts.
Almost given up hope and then Piet Hein spotted some deer, very far away and it was at the end of the field where we had seen the fox a month ago.
Through the binoculars we watched and thought that it might be goats or some other kind of animals so difficult it was to discern their features.
But they were deer, I could see that later at home.
We followed our path and suddenly we saw them standing and waiting for safeness to cross the path. They crossed it one after another and a little one was the last. In awe we made pictures Mischa and I. See Mischa's picture here. And we were delighted very much.
Our walk had been quite long. We saw the sun now and then and it felt so good to be in motion.

My haiku:

Silently we walk
Not wanting to disturb all
Creatures living here

And the latin proverb:

She/he who is not ready today will be less so tomorrow.

The latins could be rather harsh from time to time.
