Kowhai Flower

Over here where I am we are nudging on Spring regardless of what the calendar might think. I just took a walk around the remains of my l ate mother's garden and this native flower bud "Kowhai" was the best result.The Red Hot Poker, Azaleas, Japonica and Daffodil were all in the hunt but the Kowhai had the most atmosphere and belongs here.
