Our Hawthorn bush in the front garden area produced some wonderful White May Blossom this year. Whilst sitting having my lunch today I happened to notice red berries. Sure enough these were on the Hawthorne Bush. 
My perception was that they should not be as red yet. 
I 'googled it', and it said that the Hawthorne Berries are an autumn phenomena and Autumn in the UK this year (equinox) is the 22nd September.
