Chalk Hill Blues

Yesterday, in the sunshine, I must have seen at least 200 butterflies on my morning spaniel walk. Same walk today, overcast with occasional sunny intervals, less than 30 butterflies.  Although the Chalk Hill Blues are nearly finished there are still a few fresh-looking ones about like this female, nectaring on Ragwort.
