Keith Town

Continuing yesterday's railway theme - Keith Town Station on the Keith to Dufftown Line - known as the 'Whisky Line' this heritage railway operates mainly at weekends. The line opened in 1862 linking routes in Moray with Aberdeen and Invernes- latterly as passenger numbers declined its main traffic was grain being transported to the many distilleries in the area. The line closed in 1991 before reopening as a popular tourist attraction in 2001.

The extra shows a boilersuited scarecrow from the neighbouring allotments.
