Mono Monday 397 :: MM397 :: Negative Space

It has been a while since I did a Mono Monday, today's theme of Negative Space is a favourite of mine. 

Negative space in an image does not have to be blank but used to highlight the main subject. This example could well have been silhouettes and bright open skies but I went the middle road. 

I have left just enough detail in the building structure and in the pigeons whilst also allowing the clouds and the light breaking through them to be seen. Although still having some interest the sky does not dominate the main subjects. I have also opted for a grainy image which I think suits mono.
