Sunflowers

This was the nearest we got to any 'sun' today.  It's been another overcast and gloomy day, with a cool wind.  But what a treat to come across these sunflowers.  Their cheerful little faces were poking up through a meadow of wild flowers.  A and I walked the circular route around the Bayfield estate this morning, stopping en-route to enjoy a slice of iced Earl Grey fruit loaf and a cup of coffee at the Natural Surroundings cafe where we were entertained by a friendly robin who rather enjoyed our cake crumbs.  

The extra is an attractive pot of Sempervivums on the table of the Grey Seal Coffee shop at the end of the walk (we resisted visiting this one though).
