Surveillance?

Out walking this morning I realised that I had forgotten my mask. According to the Public Health Order we must always wear a mask outdoors, except when we are exercising, and then we must have a mask with us. If you break these rules you can cop a $1000 on the spot fine.
 
I turned around and went home, unquestioningly. We fully support the restrictions. But isn’t it strange that we have come to accept the idea that we might be stopped and fined, just like that.
 
We are living in such weird times, I would hardly be surprised if this object in our road were a surveillance camera. Of course it's not, it’s just a mirror to help our neighbours to back their cars out safely. But it makes you think.
