The valley Aurlandsdalen

A long and demanding walk, 19 km, in Aurlandsdalen. The boys and I walked this route about 15 years ago, but I didn't remember how tough is was. The last kilometers were really painful and what held me going was thinking about that I don't have to do this anymore. I must accept my age and condition ;) the weather was just great, 20 degrees and sunny.
The nature is wild and spectecular. The well-known and historic Aurlandsdalen Valley, was once one of the main routes between the eastern and western parts of Norway. The area known as Norway's Grand Canyon, is wild and breathtaking, rich in plant and animal life, cultural treasures, history and geological features.
