Elephant Hawk Moth

These are quite stunning caterpillars, and it is easy to see how they were named, with the body replicating the elephants trunk. The first one I have seen this year although I have also spotted them in the garden in previous years; they are commonly found around Fuchsia  bushes as was this one. The clue being it's nibbling a Fuchsia flower. The adult moth is even more impressive with pale pink and light green colouring.
