7 cakes

One of the last curling matches of the season took place this evening. Normally the game would be followed by a hot meal, not so tonight. Sandwiches were a great disappointment not only that but the filling was Tuna or Egg, not my favourite. Matters improved slightly when warm sausage rolls appeared but only one each!. Then it was cakes. Curling is a game of two teams of four, therefore eight cakes were counted in. Sharp observers will note only seven cakes in the photo.....I was starving. To conclude my tale the empty foil contained a pink cake with cream and raspberry jam. Good as it was this was no substitute for Steak Pie.
