Springtime

Today is the first day of spring here. And also Wattle Day, though I suspect many Australians will be unaware of that. The photo is of Coastal Wattle, Acacia longifolia, growing in heathland near Lake Ainsworth. We walked into the heathland this morning and found lots of plants in flower. I can't resist adding, as an extra, a photo of Banksia aemula, the Wallum Banksia.
