If you want a money-saving tip from a Yorkshireman . . . don’t waste money buying weighing scales for home. Just nip down to the nearest railway station and, with luck, you can stand on the weighing bridge platform. If it does not collapse, you are OK.

In other news . . . no surprise to me that the 2022 Tour de Yorkshire Cycle Race has been cancelled already. After 5 years of building up a world-famous event, I have feared for a long time that it is dead and buried . . . nothing to do with C19 . . . purely greed and money. Such a shame . . . RIP TdY . . .
