The short walk that wasn't

Drove up to Watendlath with the intention to walk to High Tove and Armboth Fell before the ground goes boggy again in the autumn. We thought if we did those quickly we could add on Ullscarf, which would make the walk about 7 miles.

Got that wrong!. . . firstly, even after weeks of dry weather, it was still boggy, and secondly, it ended up as a very tiring 10 miles.

As we climbed Ullscarf, the cloud came down reducing visibility to a few feet (thank goodness for GPS) but just as we reached the top, the clouds cleared giving us a clear view over to Fleetwith Pike and Pillar beyond, which I thought looked good as a mono.
