Alarm

I was intending to kick off the Easter break with a night out dancing tonight. We'd arranged to collect Keith from the station as he was playing at the Bongo club. No problems with the first bit but when we got there there had been a fire alarm upstairs in teh Central library so they had delayed the opening. Entirely out of the club's hands but as they were in the same building they couldn't open until the Fire Brigade gave them the all clear.

We headed round to Victoria Street for a pint while we waited to see what was happening and by the time last orders was called there we headed back round . It turned out we only had a five minute wait until they opened and let us in. Unfortunately it was only another ten or fifteem minutes before the alarm went off again. After a bit of investigation the Fire Brigade ordered them to empty the building again. So no dancing for us in the end.

Still the night wasn't a dead loss. We got a quick pint, caught up with loads of people, including Keith, Madi and Mike in this photo and several other, albeit briefly in some cases. Keith's wife Iona was on a later train through from Glasgow with a friend who's birthday it was. I felt a bit for them making it all the way through only to have to stand about for a bit then head back again.

I felt for the people who were doing the club too as through no fault of their own they will be majorly out of pocket now.
