Dolbadarn Castle

A short walk from the hotel is Dolbadarn Castle (Info here) where you can get lovely views of the mountains and the slate mine, as well as the lakes.

Was a lovely morning and we had a bit of a wander (note to self: you are not built for exploaring in wet conditions). We even saw a dipper collecting nest materials!

We spent the afternoon over in Bangor, which was nice (though needle boxes in the public loos was a surprise!) before heading back so we could grab some food on the way.
