Man on the Pier.

Our older son visited us today. A lot of chat was about their much loved cat Katie: 05.11.2000 - 02.09.2021.

We went down the beach and harbour before lunchtime. No blue sky today, see yesterday’s beach photo. We all walked on the wider top of the North Pier from Shorehead, but only our son continued along the narrow, high, last section. It’s okay on a still day, but not advisable at other times. Three young men (students?) were jumping off the pier, it was high tide. It’s not entirely uncommon, more so in warmer weather earlier in summer.

The NHS Scotland website launched an online PDF version of our individual vaccination status (with QR code). Mine was accurate.

The JVCI advised the margin of benefit is considered too small to support universal vaccination of healthy 12- to 15-year-olds at this time. Health Secretary’s of each of the countries in the U.K. have written to their Chief Medical Officers asking they consider the matter from a broader perspective, (including wider educational & societal impacts etc). Scottish schools have been back several weeks; on 31 August 32093 off school, 6471 pupils had Covid, 25622 isolating. Many EU countries have vaccinated almost half this population group.
