lunchtime visit

My dad is now in Kalamunda Hospital, a place he still knows in a world that he is slowly, and sadly, remembering a little less of.

A small community, cottage, hospital, that over the years has seen services reduced in attempts by various governments to close the place down completely. However when the going has got tough the community has got going, very vocally and the local MP who has his office in the village has made an appearance and voiced the concern, and thankfully it still remains open.

It has a soft spot in my life as younger son breathed his first breath in the maternity ward and now dad is there in a sunny room looking out on a courtyard of greenery, water and carved trunks depicting local fauna and flora.
This one the banksia flower and nut.
