Christmas in Gairloch

When I first came to Gairloch 20 years ago, I was told that because of the local religions, it was inappropriate to have a Christmas tree on view. Indeed, the Church objected to my first Christmas Concert, as I mentioned Christmas in the posters I put up.
As time has gone on, people have put Christmas trees up in their homes, and are unafraid to show them in the window.
And now, we have a Christmas tree in the village square.
Changed days - thank God.
