Croome Mallow (WildflowerWeek21_23)

We were at Croome Park on Friday with the grandchildren - no blippable photos* of them but I did come across a few remaining wild flowers including this mallow.  I'm not convinced it is wild as Croome is like many large estates, an entirely created landscape.  Although, this particular plant was on the edge of a fenced area which looked as if nature was being left to get on with things as it saw fit.

*I did have a fascinating, wide ranging, and largely one sided conversation with James about a variety of subjects, including discarded tennis balls, several European football teams, the Eurovision song contest and electric cars.  No one would accuse him of having a narrow range of interests, or of lacking a thought through set of opinions on them :-)

Thanks to Miranda 1008 for setting up and hosting the Wildflower Week challenge.
