I Am Spartacus

My wife and I are relaxing over the weekend and have visitors. Our daughter Ell and her friend D have popped in for lunch, drinks and a catchup. The weather is fine with some sunny spells, cooling cloud and the lightest of breezes.
The image is a shot of a little bronze figure given to us by my wife's late sister, and it is one of those treasured little things that keep a connection with loved ones sadly passed on.

We used to holiday with Val and her husband Keith, in France and the Greek Islands, the figurine is one she brought back from one of those trips and has special meaning to us. Simple things...

We have watched no TV, listened to no news, and heard no noise other than birdsong. This is why we say ignorance is bliss. Whatever is going on in the world, we don't care. What could we do anyway. Nothing. So we are doing nothing and it is just fine.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend and for a few brief hours can forget the worldly worries. They will still be there on Monday.

Stay safe.
