The verdict

I made a trip to the seaside (SeaBruges) to visit and old schoolfriend who is recovering from cancer. He is working for NGO s in Africa and now and then he stays a mont or more in his flat near the seaside. A few months ago he told me he was suffering from some ailments but the doctors in Africa couldn t find something serious. Everything looked like normal. He returned to Belgium and went for an indept medical diagnosis. The final verdict , cancer, fell. He has to undergo session of chemo and there are 2 more to go. Amazingly he withstands the therapy without too much side effects. Offcourse he s feeling tired but is optimistic about recovery. I brought some healthy food for him like organic fruitjuices and so on .
As i have still lots of vacation , we were planning for more meetings.
Especially in  this situation , friendship is important.
