yet another day, yet another bike ride

While Anniemay's in New York getting a personal best on Zwift,  I'm squashed up against a hedge, as a combine harvester makes its way slowly up Folly Lane (an extremely narrow road, well known to JohnRH).

The driver - a young woman - and I exchange greetings as she skilfully negotiates the briars and brambles that narrow the road even more.

It's probably a sign of getting old that I feel the need to remark on the age and gender of the driver.  I shouldn't need to.  But I do so to remind myself that in some parts of the world young women can't even get an education, let alone drive anything.
