Windfalls (Sunday 5th September 2021)

Diary blip. The plums on my tree are mostly too high to pick, so the birds have been doing well out of the windfalls, as have the slugs and snails and insects. I have found a few that escaped their attentions and this is the second or third batch I've collected.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Sally Sue Brown (recorded 27 March 1987, Sunset Sound Studios, Hollywood, Los Angeles CA; voices overdubbed 5 May 1987)
Bob Dylan (vcl, gtr) with Steve Jones (gtr), Paul Simonon (bass), Kevin Savigar (kbds), Myron Grombacher (dr, perc) with Bobby King, Willie Green, Carolyn Dennis (har vcls)
Bob Dylan had a bad eighties as far as his albums went, and Down In The Groove, from which this comes, is generally thought his absolute worst. Dylan said, "Years ago, I could go in, do it and it would translate onto tape. It gets so cleaned up today that anything wrong you do doesn't get onto the tape. And my stuff is based on wrong things."
Dylan brought in former Sex Pistol Steve Jones and Paul Simenon from the Clash to cover this old Arthur Alexander song, with mixed results.
