in flight

Trip to the zoo. As always it was a lovely day out. The big attraction were the giraffes (see extra) that recently moved to Edinburgh zoo. I really love how they move. We spent quite some time watching the squirrel monkeys doing their stuff. They were particularly active. The baby hippo was great as well. I was most moved by one of the chimpanzees still holding on to her stillborn baby. Emotionally, they are not all that different. Yet, we seem to be quite happy to trash our shared world.
