"The Old Packhorse Bridge"

Still dull with flurries of snow. Road to Ski slopes closed so a lot of unhappy people about. There's a party of golfers in the hotel who were heading out after breakfast. Good luck cause the temp was 0ºc at 09.30. Had hoped to do the Reindeers for today's Blip but that trip is also off for today so instead my Blip is from Carrbridge's most famous landmark the old packhorse bridge, from which the village is named. The bridge, built in 1717, is the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands. It was severely damaged in the "muckle spate" of 1829, which left it in the condition seen today. It is now unstable and is recommended only to be viewed from afar. Jumping off the bridge into the River Dulnain below had long been a popular pastime for younger locals and the more adventurous tourists.
