Elephant hawk moth caterpillar

We found this absolute beauty travelling across the garden path this afternoon. We helped it along it’s way into the plants as the cat had also noticed it. The cat was taken inside for distraction purposes, to ensure caterpillar safety. For scale, it was the same length as my first finger.
