In an artist studio

Have had a fun day in the studio of my artist friend Catherine King. 
 
Some time ago she asked if I would sit for her to be included in her next series of women. I kept making excuses because I knew Catherine had a reputation for doing tough, honest portrayal of women.
 
Still it was flattering to be asked and when she repeated her request last week I relented.
 
The exhibition opens in ten days time so there was only time for a quick charcoal sketch so I was quite relieved that in the circumstances I got off lightly (see extra).
 
And it was good to catch up with all art gossip after 18 months of the pandemic where we never got to see other artists. Zoom is  poor substitute.
