Miner’s Lamp..

This bronze sculpture, designed by Steve Winterburn, features a miner, a pit brow lass and a child, and now proudly stands near Wigan Town Hall – the borough’s former mining college. The miner’s lamp is a particularly poignant reminder as my dad had one.
