Though not a foodie - even the real thing rarely excites me, so why would a photograph? - I do make an exception for decorative cakes, especially birthday cakes. The first of three September birthdays in our family. 

This is my son's favourite cake, and he often has it on his birthday. My favourite cake is also made by Konig's-Krone. It's not so decorative, but it's utterly delicious. No doubt you'll be seeing it on the 19th.
