The Cloppy Doggerel

One of my mum's meds is called Clopidogrel. Most people (including the consultant who prescribed it) pronounce this Cloppy Doggerel. As my uncle said "That's either a dog wearing clogs or a horse that writes bad poetry".

My mum finds the name very funny (Alzheimer's hasn't spoilt her sense of humour) and immediately started to refer to the dog as "the Cloppy doggerel" or sometimes just Cloppy for short. It's quite apt because Leia's paws do make a loud clopping sound on the tiles and laminate flooring in Mum's house.

The Cloppy Doggerel has been very hot today. I've made an appointment to get her clipped again soon. This photo was taken just after our morning walk.
