Springtime garden

The view of the back garden when I got up this morning.
We were one of the more lucky ones as the garden is fairly sheltered and therefore not much drifting. Mr H got home having followed the plough to the boundary of Calderdale and Bradford Council, from where he had to battle through. He says in many places the drifts were 6 or 7 feet high, and as it has snowed more or less all day since , and the wind hasn't stopped blowing, goodness only knows what it must be like in the exposed areas now. I have heard that some properties in Ryecroft, just up the road from us have drifts up to the rafters!

We took Reggie up through Deep Cliff woods this afternoon, but it was very difficult walking through it so Reg had a much shorter walk than we would have liked, but he had fun chasing snowballs, so he ran further than we did! Sadly he doesn't seem tired tonight.
