Lovely day

The sun shone for quite some time and we took advantage of it. A couple of short walks, taking in the Castle o' Burrian (a seastack famous for, but at this time of year devoid of, puffins) and Bay of Tuquoy where this dilapidated shed stood. The bright yellow flowers against the black just begged to be photographed so I'm afraid the lovely scenery has been relegated to extras.

Berry behaved so much better than yesterday as we made walks short and sweet. Our over ambitious attempt yesterday to stroll (hah!) along Grobust beach ended in frustration for all and was a big lesson in management. She was in overwhelm mode (aka nutty) after car and ferry trip, new house, sea breeze and much rabbit and it just wasn't worth it.

After lunch we played 9 holes at Westray golf course. An interesting introduction for LH given that the wind had definitely not read the forecast and was quite a bit stronger than advertised. It was so good to go out together - such a ridiculously rare event.

A hearty supper and back to unwind.
