I was so looking forward to the first day of freedom and it didn't go to plan.  A sink hole took out one lane of traffic and chaos resulted.  When we did finally make it to Mitre 10 Mega our big hardware/garden supplies store it was full and the cue to the checkouts was too long.  We abandoned the plan to buy plants and went to the timber part of the store where the cue was shorter.  Then the drive home and I lost interest in going anywhere else. 
The afternoon did take a turn for the better when Andrew and Beverly came up and he brought me some of his rum and raisin fudge.  Oh my it is good.
