Ramblings and Mutterings

Do you dare?

I did some volunteering today for Ty Hafan charity at their Do you Dare? event in the Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare. Fair play to all the people taking part in the challenge, and yes to us volunteers, for braving such cold weather. It was tough out there today with temperatures at about -5c if you include the wind chill factor, and with the ground being covered in snow as well, it made those who went through our mud crawl challenge even colder. It was a challenge for both body and spirit, and you could see at the end of the day it had taken its toll on some of the people, yes even us volunteers. Well done to everyone involved! I'm sure a significant amount of money was raised by everyone's efforts!

In other news the mighty Neath beat Bargoed to reach the semi-final of the cup. From sheer despondency about rugby at the end of last year, these past few months for Neath and Wales have helped raise my spirits.

So despite freezing to death today, I'm apparently going to walk Penyfan tomorrow where the wind chill is supposed to make it feel -20c! I must be nuts! Lol!
