Poor Leela

On the hottest September day in Scotland for 115 years, poor Leela had a vet’s appointment. She was booked in at 4.15pm for a booster injection but she was not seen by the vet until 4.54! It was very hot in the waiting room, I was suffering behind my mask but she was panting in her pet carrier, I had never seen this before and was quite worried. Apparently cats do this to cool themselves down. When she eventually was seen, there were little wet footprints on the the examination table and this is because cats sweat through their paw pads to lower their body temperature. I have learned some new facts about cats today but am sorry she had to go through the unpleasant experience.
