Long Meg and Her Daughters.

This is Long Meg. Long Meg is part of a stone circle in Cumbria near a village called Little selkeld. There is a huge circle of stones all different shapes and sizes, and then just stood outside the circle is this.... Long Meg. I belive long meg is around 12 feet high and there is some quiet interesting stories and local legends behind it. That you should definitely Google and read up on as some are quiet lengthy.

The stones have been around for thousands of years and are in amazing condition, there is also some strange markings on them as well.

This was from Mondays outing with the group and honestly I struggled to get anything decent really, that could capture this lovely place in one shot. The lighting wasn't great but we did get a nice sunset later that evening and did take a couple of images of Meg in the sunset, however...... My camera started taking really grainy/fuzzy images after I had taken some all day at the same iso and pretty much similar settings and was fine and then was producing sharp images after I left.

If you read some of the legends, there's supposed to be some sort of magical forces inside the circle.... Maybe it was messing up my camera. Who knows!
