Smoked Chicken

Smoked chicken, rice, Hawaiian-style coleslaw, and chili.

We had lunch at a Kauai chain that specializes in barrel smoked chicken. The chicken was very good. The rice was rice (so, fine). Now for the question: what makes a coleslaw Hawaiian-style? The answer is apparently pineapple juice and a hint of soy sauce (which is an interesting note in a somewhat sweet context). We will pass over the alleged chili in silence.
