Bridging old and new

Loughborough Railway Station today - my eye was caught by the juxtaposition of the old and new bridges and I like the way the new bridge 'V' struts reference the old roofing on the left and the way that the curve of the train roof references the curve of the bridge arch. (Is 'reference' the correct expression?)

On an extremely pleasant September day we had an extremely pleasant railway journey to Duffield to pick up a 'new' car, changing at Loughborough and Derby. The motorway journey home didn't have the same relaxed appeal!

Extra is of a feature on nearby flats which I think I like - different anyway.
