Troon rocks

Today we headed down to Troon to walk the smugglers route from the beach to the castle at Dundonald. The dogs had a great time on the beach to start with. Headed over Royal Troon golf course and off to Dundonald castle. It was a warm day and we didn’t read the route correctly. Seems it was 8K each way and not a return trip. As a result we had to cut the trip short as it was getting too much for Darwin. Stopped off for lunch at Collennan reservoir before heading back again. We discovered that water has a revitalising effect on Darwin as he was dragging his paws on the way back until he went on the beach, then he was full of energy again. Back for dinner and started to watch the new Vigil drama on the iPlayer.
