Abstract Thursday - ICM

I was walking in the woods in Tyninghame and trying to take impressionistic abstracts of the trees but finding that more often than not even catching the smallest patch of sky was completely blowing the highlights. Despite it being a dull day the difference in exposure between the trees and the sky was just too much to contain.. I tried another tack that was looking ast t leaves on the path and rotating the camera during exposure which seemed to be more successful. I have chosen for my blip an image of a fern with rotation which gave sufficient definition of the fern  but totally abstracted its background.
