Tarbert Loch Fyne

It was a rainy day so we decided to stay here for another night. It is a very picturesque spot.

We used to know this harbour as East Loch Tarbert but there are a few of these in Scotland so it has sensibly been rebranded as Tarbert Loch Fyne to distinguish it from the one on the outer Hebrides and a number of others. The name comes from narrow necks of land where the Vikings would portage their vessels, so we are a few miles East of West Loch Tarbert.

Apologies for short blip stories and few comments as the internet connections are a bit variable. The boat is happy at the moment Thanks for all your good wishes. Sadly my new camera is sulking. It may need expert attention when we get home.
