The combines have still been busy locally harvesting the wheat but unfortunately part of this field was not completed yesterday and today it was too damp to finish cutting.  Normally there are extensive views across to the hills and distant mountains but the mist never cleared all day and by evening the haar was very dense and probably about 100 metres.   However we seem to have missed the very heavy rain and thunderstorms which caused flash floods and a friend’s cellar to flood. What a contrast to the last couple of days.
