The train would have continued on the right fork to Lochwinnoch Station one of four stations on the Lochwinnoch Loop Line 1905 to 1966 others being Johnstone North Kilbarchan Lochwinnoch and Kilbirnie all gone and now part of Sustrans National Cycle Route, No. 7. I'm heading on 'Shank's Pony' down the left fork to Castle Semple Loch where watersports and birdwatching are the main attractions today.
